Come Home to Your Body
With compassion and curiosity, I will support you to listen, safely feel, and move with embodied understanding.
-
SE is a nervous system based modality utilized to attend to and support stuck nervous system patterns that are contributing to our present day stress and the places where we feel limited.
-
Together we build awareness by inviting attention to your experiences with compassion. I will offer many invitations that support you noticing the physical sensations, emotions, and stories connected to your present moment. I get curious about your past lived experiences and how that has shaped your skills and informs what you want today. When the messages from the body are heard and seen, you can form a new relationship with yourself in which you are going with the wisdom of your body not against it.

Who I work with
Identities
I am a white cis queer woman and have the privilege of holding space for and working alongside with many individuals with differing identities than my own in race, gender, and other social experiences. I practice cultural humility and do my best work when I pause assumptions and invite curiosity. My clients are the experts of themselves. Here are some identities that have shown up in my therapy room: Brown, Black, white, cis-gendered, trans-gendered, gender non-conforming, pansexual, bi-sexual, gay, lesbian, straight, asexual, nuerodivergent, and more!
Lived experiences
Our nervous systems are organized around our lived experiences and our ancestors’ experiences. Our bodies are constantly sensing and responding to the present stimulus of our lives. Here are some lived experiences I have held space for in therapy room: childhood abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence, racial violence, family stress, relationship stress, anxiety, depression, feeling overwhelmed, feeling numb, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and disordered eating.
What my clients want
I help my clients come up with an intention for their time in the therapy room. I invite clients to dream a little bit. I will ask, “If we are heading in the right direction, what would change for you?” Here are some example intentions: to trust myself, to feel more confident, for it to feel a little more safe to put myself first, to feel more present, to feel less shame, to understand what has shaped me, for my past to no longer be what is present, to have healthy fulfilling relationships.
